The name “BackRoads” comes from the thousands of kilometres Aaron ran on the country backroads where he grew up and dreamed of running fast.
About Aaron
Aaron Hendrikx grew up on a rural farm, where he spent the majority of his free time playing sports and running. Once at the University of Guelph his running really flourished, and he became one of a few athletes to win two individual Canadian University Cross Country Championships.
Aaron’s passion for running led him to entering the specialty running industry. With the knowledge that many Ontario specialty running stores were becoming outdated, he set out to create a new kind of specialty retail. Retail focused on providing an exceptional customer experience and developing a strong community.
