HOKA Trail Trek
Join us on Thursday, April 23rd for the first event in our HOKA Hat Trick Series - the HOKA Trail Trek
We’re kicking things off with a fun, adventurous evening that blends community, exploration, and the chance to get your feet dirty in the best way possible. This is your opportunity to experience trail running in a relaxed, welcoming environment while testing out HOKA's newest shoes.
We’ll start from the BackRoads Taproom and head out on our regular social run route. A couple of kilometres in, we’ll arrive at our HOKA demo station, where you can swap into a pair of trail shoes and take them for a proper rip. With the Kains Woods Trailhead nearby, it’s the perfect setting to see what trail running is all about.
Expect a high-energy atmosphere, plenty of smiles, and a great mix of runners and walkers getting outside together. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to test new gear, discover local trails, and connect with the community.
Bring your friends, family and your running crew and get ready to hit the trails!

800m Night
Join us on Friday, June 19th for the second event in our HOKA Hat Trick Series. A high-energy night that blends racing, community, and an apres-run festival at Legacy Park!
Once the racing wraps up, Legacy Park transforms into a summer festival for runners and locals alike.
Expect a DJ, food trucks, cold drinks, and hundreds of runners hanging out after the HOKA run, celebrating an unforgettable night. Last year’s festival was an absolute blast, and we’re bringing even more energy this year.
The featured race is our iconic 800m Night — two laps of the track and a BackRoads staple since 2017. It’s your chance to test HOKA shoes, and your speed at a distance that’s just long enough to hurt… and just short enough to go all-out.
Here’s the twist: your finishing time determines the price of your beer for the evening (up to two). Run fast, drink cheap.
With four race sections to choose from — including the Championship section — there’s a spot for everyone, from first-time racers to serious speedsters.

Join us on Thursday, August 20th for the third leg of the HOKA Hat Trick Series with a one-of-a-kind Thursday night social run!
Powered by HOKA, this free event kicks off from the parking lot at Bondi’s Pizza, where you’ll have the chance to demo the latest HOKA shoes before hitting the route.
Expect good vibes at the start line and even better ones at the finish - where BackRoads taps and fresh Bondi’s pizza await
No pre-registration required, but signing in at the start is mandatory for all participants. This helps us track Hat Trick entries and ensures everyone is accounted for. Thanks for helping us keep things smooth and safe!
