Forest City Road Races: Sunday, June 8th
Join us for the 43rd Annual Canada Life Forest City Road Races! Secure your spot and be part of this incredible London event, all while supporting the Thames Valley Children's Centre. Your registration directly helps provide vital resources and services to over 11,000 children through the TVCC.
BackRoads Brews + Shoes is the proud run specialty partner for the event! We will be hosting lead-up runs and activations at the store in partnership with FCRR, with more details coming soon. You can also find us at our post-race beer garden close to the finish line on race day. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience!
Jordan's Run The Runway
Jordan’s Run the Runway 5K run/walk, inspired by Jordan Strickland, raises funds in support of the YMCA Southwestern Ontario, with over $1.2 million raised over the past 11 years. This unique race series takes place on airport runways in London, Chatham, and Sarnia, offering participants a rare and exciting opportunity to run or walk in these incredible settings. The event supports YMCA programs that promote health, fitness, and community well-being. BackRoads Brews + Shoes is the proud run specialty partner for these community-driven events, helping create memorable experiences while supporting a great cause.
Community XC 5K & Kid's 1K @ Athletics Canada Cross Country Championships: November 29/30th
GET READY for an incredible running experience at the 2025 Canadian Cross Country Championships, hosted by Athletics Canada! This is your chance to lace up and run on the same course that Canadian Olympians and emerging high-performance athletes will compete on at Fanshawe Golf Course in London, ON.
Join us for the BackRoads Brews + Shoes Cross Country Classic 5K + Kid's 1K, a true celebration of the running spirit and a race for YOU, the people. This isn’t just a race; it’s a unique opportunity to embrace the thrill of cross country—grass, mud, grit, and an unbeatable sense of community. Be sure to hang around after the race at the official ACXC Fan Fest and enjoy some local food vendors, lounge spaces, and cheer on the other athletes vying for individual and team gold titles! Phoenix Trail Races
An exhilarating experience over the stunning lakeside views on the reservoir trail. Run, hike, or walk a 25k course (one loop) or a 50k challenge (two loops). Phoenix Trail Races is dedicated to contributing to the trail running community, supporting local businesses, and promoting the well-being of the London area. Through this event, the organizers create opportunities for participants to reach new goals, form meaningful connections, and foster a sense of camaraderie while practicing good stewardship of our cherished local trails.
Persistence Race Series
Run Far. Run Fast. Run for Fun. Persistence Racing is a dynamic 5-part event series designed for all runners, from beginners to seasoned ultra-marathoners. Each race in the series offers a unique challenge, with distances ranging from 5k to ultra-marathon, ensuring there’s a perfect race for everyone. Experience the beauty and challenge of trail, road, and cross-country courses, each offering its own set of obstacles and rewards. Whether you're navigating the rugged trails, speeding along smooth roads, or tackling the natural features of cross-country courses, you’ll find each race an exciting and rewarding experience. Join us for a celebration of running, community, and the great outdoors!
Berry Dreams at Heeman's
Join us for the Berry Dreams Fun Run at Heeman's! Choose between a 5k or 10k route, perfect for all ages and abilities, while enjoying a scenic view of the farm. This event supports the Shine Foundation, transforming the lives of young people in Canada since 1987. Whether you're aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying the journey, all registration proceeds benefit this incredible cause.
After you cross the finish line, the fun continues with a celebration featuring local food trucks, refreshing Heeman's cider, and BackRoads Beer for purchase. It's a great way to relax and enjoy your achievement with family and friends.
